Christians in Politics – The Influence Course: Your Journey into God’s Heart for Good Governance

This well produced course works on the assumption that we can make a “meaningful positive influence in our beautiful broken world.”
This requires that the church does more than be a paramedic for a broken world and more involved in shaping a better, safer world.
“Might we be so busy fulfilling our pastoral calling that we ignore our prophetic calling.”
In six inactive sessions this course seeks to make Christians aware of the political dimensions of all life, and how we can be more actively involved in this process.
It is helpful to be reminded that such involvement in the pollical process is not a distraction from our Christian identity but a necessary expression of it.
In a stimulating way the process of being involved is explored. The course is both demanding and realistic; it shows how sometimes the smallest acts can make a difference. One area I found to be very helpful was the section on how to disagree without being disagreeable, especially when Christians have different views on key issues, or support different political parties..
This book is backed up by resources on a dedicated website, that contains guidance on how to run the course online and short videos to be used on the course itself.
