Norwich: more than 10,000 see Soul Church production The Wonder
SOUL Church in Norwich hosted the final performance of its Christmas spectacular The Wonder recently, having welcomed more than10,500 people to 14 free shows over two weekends.
The Wonder was billed as SOUL Church’s gift to Norwich over Christmas and in the end 10,831 people received that gift, attending one of 14 free shows over the weekends of December 7-8 and December 14-15.
The cast of almost 100 performers put on a two-hour spectacular filled with music, dance and a positive Christmas message. The cast was supported by a team of 200 welcomers, stage crew, technicians and producers who made the experience one to remember.
Writing after the final performance, Jon Norman, Pastor of SOUL Church said: “Thank you first and foremost to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, the true WONDER of Christmas. Then to all those who served passionately and relentlessly to make this production a reality. And to everyone who took time out to come and see the shows, we can’t thank you enough for your support.”
In his message Jon noted that 544 people had made decisions for Christ over the two weekends. He also apologised to those who weren’t able to get in due to capacity issues.
He said: “Sorry to everyone who couldn’t get in, we will endeavour to do better next time. We are already making plans for #TheWonder2020 so watch this space’.
