Candid: craft beer, coffee and community in Stafford

CMS mission pioneers are behind a new venture to fight isolation and form a community hub in Stafford centred around craft beer, coffee and a co-working space.

A new initiative that aims to combat the loneliness and isolation experienced by many people, has been launched by CMS mission pioneers, Mark and Jess Bamping.

Mark’s thinking was that men in particular will gather around doing stuff together (such as brewing beer). Mark has been a connoisseur of small independent ‘craft’ beers and following a CMS ‘Make Good’ weekend for mission entrepreneurs, Mark and his wife Jess, conceived ‘Candid’, a community driven initiative near their home in Stafford.

Situated in Woodings Yard in the town, they hope will Candid become a community hub where people can drink in, take away, or simply meet for a coffee.

Candid also has a meeting room and creative working space where people can gather and develop relationships over a locally brewed craft beer and other shared interests.
