New leadership roles to sustain Pioneer network growth
New leadership appointments were announced recently at the Pioneer network leaders’ conference in Manchester, which will see Billy Kennedy become Pioneer International Leader and Ness Wilson take on the role of UK network leader.
Pioneer has been a UK based network of new churches founded by Gerald Coates in 1985. In 2009 Billy and Caroline Kennedy took on the leadership of the network.
In recent years partnerships in other nations has led to the formation of Pioneer churches networks in Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Kenya, Europe and the USA. The new appointments are to help facilitate this growth, and will be effective from September 1, 2019.
Billy Kennedy (right) says: “This is an exciting development for Pioneer as we respond to the opportunities that God is opening up for us internationally. Ness is a proven apostolic leader who has been used by God to build a great church in Loughborough and is widely recognised for her leadership, strategic thinking and teaching gifts.”
Ness Wilson (main photo) adds: “Having joined Pioneer in my early twenties, it’s going to be a great honour and privilege to serve the people and churches in the pioneer movement as the Pioneer UK Leader. I feel called and prepared for this role and excited to see what God is doing with us in this next season. This is a significant time for Pioneer as we live up to our name!
