European recognition for Bible college course
A UK Bible college is celebrating membership of a European association for its Christian counselling course.
The London School of Theology (LST) offers the first Christian Counselling Course in the UK to have secured membership of the European Association for Counselling (EAC), which is an international professional organisation of counsellors.
This is great news for those who study on the LST Theology & Counselling Programme as it means that they will have EAC recognition, in addition to being an Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC) affiliated organisation, and BACP accreditation.
The EAC is dedicated to serving the interests of all individuals and organisations who work in counselling and/or counsellor training or many of the diverse fields of education, employment; personal and career development, social work, business, industry, mental health, public service agencies, government and private practice who share the objectives of the EAC.
Nikolaos Souvlakis, Theology & Counselling Programme Leader at LST said “We are delighted to have joined the EAC. The European Association for Counselling is the driving force for counselling in Europe, promoting and maintaining the highest quality of professional and ethical practice, education and ongoing professional development.
“LST being members means that our counselling graduates will be recognised as having met the European Certificate of Counsellor Accreditation standard.”
