East Anglia: conference tackles using pilgrimage for mission
A conference hosted by the East Anglian Pilgrimage Network will be held in February next year and will look at using pilgrimage to share the good news of Jesus, reports Network Norwich & Norfolk.
The international surge in popularity of pilgrimage creates significant opportunities in mission for local parishes. Is your church along the route of an ancient pilgrimage or modern long-distance path?
Is it associated with a local saint or holy person, or was it the home of a local shrine or holy well?
Do you have treasures you long to share with others?
The combination of heritage and holiness is a powerful draw for contemporary people and provides an ideal context in which to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
