Churches are being asked to support those working in entertainment by recognising Arts & Entertainment Sunday on 9 April.

Christians in Entertainment, celebrating 35 years of caring for those working in the entertainment profession, are asking churches and individuals across the UK to pray for the profession, and celebrate God’s incredible gift of the arts with readings, drama, song and special guests as part of their services.

Resource ideas for churches can be downloaded from www.cieweb.org.uk. Arts & Entertainment Sunday is presented in partnership with the Arts Centre Group and Theatre Chaplaincy UK.

Meanwhile, those involved in the profession can be assured that any prayer requests via the CIE text-line or website remain completely confidential, so performers can stay in touch when away on tour, knowing that they are not alone in what can be a very lonely business.
