The Hope Together Team from five South Norfolk parishes are planning an interactive, contemporary dramatisation of Bible stories set in four community locations over the weekend of June 18-19.
The national HOPE Together movement started in 2008, and is still going strong in the South Norfolk parishes of Aslactan, Bunwell, Carlton Rode, Great Moulton and Tibenham.
Christians from the local Anglican churches, Carleton Rode Baptist Church, Great Moulton Chapel and the Faith Mission join together for a monthly breakfast 'Cafe Church' on the third Sunday of each month in the Jubilee Hall, Carleton Rode or Bunwell Village Hall. They also plan other events to show God’s love in word and action.
Their latest venture is a series of four one-act plays taking place in locations around Bunwell and Carleton Rode on the mornings of Saturday June 18 and Sunday June 19. Steven Halstead from Hope Together said: “Join us as we retell four familiar Bible stories in different, contemporary, dramatic styles. Experience the Bible in a new way. The plays will form an interactive drama experience, suitable for all the family.”
The first play will be performed at Bunwell Village Hall at 9.30am on Saturday morning, with the second performed at St Michael and All Angels Church, Bunwell at 10.30am and then at Carleton Road Baptist Church at 11.30am. Then on Sunday morning at 10am you can enjoy breakfast at Café Church at Carleton Road Village Hall and watch the last of this fascinating drama series.
The entire event is free.
