Destinations for online seekers

Looking to share your faith with generations who will look online first for answers?

The advantage for the searcher is that it is anonymous so they can explore without commitment. So the challenge for churches and individual Christians is to make good web links available on as many occasions as possible – baptisms, weddings, outreach events, Fresh Expressions, community projects and so on.

If you have regular contact with a group eg Messy Church, you could give out a different web link each time you meet.

If it is a one-off contact then one of the best ways is through a small card (credit card size) with four or five internet links on. These can easily be produced by CPO with your details on at competitive prices. There are also a range of Bible verse cards already available, which could carry links on the back (see below).

Here are some recommended links:

www.knowmystory.co.uk
www.lookingforgod.com
www.omgonline.net
www.rejesus.co.uk
www.iamsecond.com
www.christianity.org.uk
www.nowachristian.org
www.foundations21.net

Many churches have these links on their website so visitors have an opportunity to explore faith.

If this is for general use aimed at people who might come from a distance eg at a wedding or baptism,
then it is also useful to put on it the ‘A Church Near You’ web address: www.achurchnearyou.com
