A major national day conference in October aims to encourage, inspire and equip rural church leaders ...
Former President of the Baptist Union of Great Britain Roy Searle is one of the speakers at a major national day conference being organised to encourage, inspire and equip rural church leaders in October.
Germinate! is being organised by the Arthur Rank Centre on behalf of the main denominations and organisations supporting rural ministry.
The conference will start with a video address by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby.
Germinate will feature other speakers, including President of the Methodist Conference Rev Ruth Gee, and Bishop of Shrewsbury the Rt Revd Mark Rylands.
Through workshops and talks delegates will be able to explore creative uses of church buildings, ideas for welcoming children and families, how to run a successful Messy Church, sources of funds and income, and much more!
Jerry Marshall, the Arthur Rank Centre’s CEO, says: “Rural communities need vibrant churches more than ever. Germinate! is an exciting opportunity for both lay and clergy and I’m thrilled with the variety and quality of speakers. It will be an inspiring and challenging event.”
Germinate! will take place on Saturday 11 October 2014 at the Welcome Centre in Coventry. An early booking discount is available.
