Is it time your nan or granpa got the recognition they deserve?

Care for the Family has launched a nationwide search to find the UK’s top grandparents ...

Care for the Family, which aims to strengthen family life has established the UK’s first Super Grandparent Awards in order to highlight the important role grandparents play in family life by offering kindness, wisdom, support and unconditional love.

Founder of Care for the Family and author of The Sixty Minute Grandparent, Rob Parsons said:  "Grandparents and grandchildren share a special bond. As adults many of us can remember sharing time with our grandparents and building memories to last a lifetime. The Super Grandparent Awards offer an opportunity to nominate a grandparent or grandparents who have made an amazing contribution to family life and to give them the recognition they deserve."

Adults and children can enter the competition by sending in either a video clip or written entry stating just what makes their nominated grandparent so special and unique. The UK's top Super Grandparent will win afternoon tea with their family, together with a family portrait taken by a professional children’s photographer. Three runners-up will each receive a luxury family hamper.

"We believe all grandparents are super – and we want to celebrate them. That's why we've created the Super Grandparent Awards – so families can tell the world just how much they love their grandparents, and why. We want to search the nation for inspirational grandparents who go above and beyond," added Rob.

The deadline for the competition, which is free to enter, is the 31 August. For further information and details on how to enter visit www.supergrandparentawards.co.uk.
