A Yorkshire curate, who loves treading the boards, will be appearing at York's Friargate Theatre on Thursday 20 December in an evening of improvised fun.
Rev Ned Lunn, the new curate at Stephen's & St Aidan's Parish Church, Acomb, will be taking part in the performance Right Here, Right Now.
Having set up his own theatre company in London, Ned was encouraged by a friend to travel up to York one summer to join the Riding Lights Summer Theatre School which explores all aspects of life through theatre created from a broad Christian perspective.
Ned considers that week spent on the course as the most formative week in his entire life as it led him to pursue a career in the ministry.
"If you want a truly a unique experience," said Ned, "then make Riding Lights Summer Theatre School 2013 your destination next summer. You will work with professional writers, directors and actors within a caring and friendly team of people. Your enthusiasms and talents will flourish and it really can change the course of your life in more ways than one.
“I decided that the ministry was my true calling, and I made many close friends, amongst them my now wife, Sarah."
Right Here, Right Now, is at York's Friargate Theatre on Thursday 20 December at 7pm. Tickets £5. Call 01904 613000. Click HERE for details of Riding Lights Summer Theatre School 2013.
