J John: the debt the Western World owes to Christianity
3 May 2018
Increasingly, I’m coming across a distorted view of history and society. Writers and speakers look at the modern Western world with its technology, culture and its advocacy of human rights and democracy, and imply that it all mysteriously ‘just happened’.
If your church closed, would your community notice? Phil Hillsden who leads King's Church, Darlington was challenged by that question some years ago and set about changing the culture of the church. The church's strapline is now, "Transforming Lives, Changing Communities". They believe that a church is a community, a family of people. Within that community all are welcome to come, to find a place of belonging, of love and acceptance, of value and worth. He explains more in this short video.

I am writing to thank you very much for the copies of Inspire you send in to our prison. We are a Fully Foreign National prison of about 600 prisoners. Many of them speak good English and really appreciate your publication. I, too, have enjoyed them and think they are very uplifting.
