Philippa Hanna headlines Engage 2018. Engage is a worshippers collective of Heartsong Ministries. The Engage flagship event is an Annual Worship night in Aberdeen Scotland. Heartsong Ministries intends to lift the lives of people up by providing a platform for liberty in worship where chains of traditions, sickness, problems and inhibitions are broken. We have a mission to Inspire unity across race, preference, Church denomination, gender, tribe, age and genre. Raising a new generation of worshippers is at the core of each Engage event. These concerts focus on lifting up God’s name and expanding his Kingdom on earth in creative, professional, excellent and inclusive way.

Our focus on God helps us point all beyond individual talent of artists to the almighty God. He created each human soul. Everyone is important to Him and we actively demonstrate that. Engage has always partnered with other charities, which work with less-fortunate people locally and around the World. Charities like: Mission Aviation Fellowship, Food for The Hungry, Scottish Bible Society and more.

Christian Meditation

25 July 2018

Chapel of the Holy Spirit - Liverpool Cathedral

Meditating with others can offer an immediate and reassuring experience, without the need to judge or define it, of our innate capacity for re-connection (the meaning of religion).

We will use the teachings of The World Community for Christian Meditation based on the ancient Christian tradition of meditation to explore the richness of a simple practical wisdom that brings the truths of faith alive in our own experience.

All welcome: beginners and experienced meditators, of all faith traditions and none. You can just turn up or please contact Revd Ruth Stock if you have any queries.

Summer Studies

01 - 07 September 2018

Capernwray Hall

Summer Studies is a good combination of three Bible teaching lecture series from three different teachers. After a welcome on Saturday we ease into Sunday with two teaching sessions – and then Monday comes. Three lectures in the morning and one evening session ensures that we quickly gain momentum in taking in a lot of teaching in a short space of time. And then the afternoons…. we need to relax, or be active. Some want to sit and process, others prefer to get out and exercise. We are all different – and so this week offers various options to suit you. Summer Studies delivers the teaching to equip you along with the afternoon and late evening activities for you to enjoy. You can relax in the pool and sauna or walk the grounds or chat in the coffee shop.

PLUS – if you want some more structure to the week then add on an option to get you walking, cycling or developing your artistic or musical talents.

The Coaching Skills Workshop is designed for those engaged in pastoral and personnel activities, to increase their effectiveness and apply new skills in this vital task. It is an approach even seen to be used by God in his dealings with some people in the bible. Such skills can help individuals understand how they might overcome obstacles and achieve goals in their personal or professional lives. Drawing from Dr. Keith E. Webb's book, The COACH Model for Christian Leaders, this workshop delivers practical skill development through high-quality, interactive coaching training, and has been used effectively in over 20 countries around the world.

Paul Lindsay will be leading the workshop along with Janice Wilburn. Both are trained and accredited coaches and work at the heart of Global Connections Options Coaching service. Paul is also licensed with CRM to use and teach the COACH model material.

The 3-day programme will focus on integrating coaching skills with existing leadership roles. Church leaders and HR people alike have testified to the great value of integrating these skills into their work.

Through a high level of interaction, and lots of practice, participants learn key coaching skills, such as listening, using empowering questions, developing actions and follow up. Each participant will receive a 50+ page workbook.

We believe those who complete this programme will be more effective in supporting others to develop their potential in all areas of life and to take action to accomplish that which matters most to them.

Refreshments and meals are included in the price.

Israel

Staying in Jerusalem and around Lake Galilee you will visit many of the principal biblical sites of the Old and New Testament. Travelling by private coach with a local guide you will experience an introduction to the Holy Land that will be captivating. Each day holds opportunities for the stories of the Bible to become clearer though discovering the layout of the land and the customs of the culture. From the wilderness outside Jericho of the fields outside Bethlehem, onto the Mount of Olives and Calvary each day unlocks biblical truths. Heading north we sit on the hillside overlooking Galilee and even take a sail on the water. An unforgettable experience.

Christmas at Capernwray

22 - 27 December 2018

Capernwray Hall

Capernwray Hall is a beautiful place for a holiday at any time of the year but at Christmas we pull out all the stops! When we add the Christmas trees, lights and decorations to this grand manor house – when the fires are lit and when the house fills with adults and children it becomes a spectacular place to spend some cold wintry days. As we join together and celebrate Christmas we can never forget the arrival of Jesus Christ in Bethlehem. Our Bible teaching sessions for adults, teens and children ensure that we celebrate not only His birth, but His life and His continual presence in our lives. Join us to celebrate in style!

We believe that every woman has a special God given purpose. We have a passion to see women engage in their community and know that you can change your world just by being yourself.

Join us at Horwood House for MODIFY 2019. Our theme takes us to the heart of what Activate is all about- reaching the lost. As Paul says in 1 Corinthians 9:20-22, the way to do this is to find common ground, embracing what is similar with those you meet, without compromising on truth. Like a chameleon, we can adapt and modify our ourselves to make ourselves more approachable, more welcoming, without changing who we are and what we believe.

To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law. To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. 1 Corinthians 9:20-22

Women of all ages welcome ... *check out our "Miss Activate" section of the website... bring your teen with you for a weekend of fun and learning together.
