The Ugly Duckling Company has see plenty of downloads of its new FREE Table Talk app increase.

Over the last few years, the Ugly Duckling Company have produced a number of Table Talk games for people in small, medium and large group to enjoy and to get people talking. The new Table Talk for Rugby app is the latest addition to the range of conversational tools.

Table Talk for Rugby has been written and developed by those currently engaged in the rugby world, but a player of their new app doesn't need to be a rugby expert to enjoy the app.

All Table Talk resources aims to provide a safe place for people to begin to explore, articulate and engage in these kinds of conversations about the big and not so big questions of life. The hope is that as people  get together and play Table Talk, conversations will flourish, relationships will be built and strengthened and that you’ll have fun.

The new Table Talk for Rugby app is available for download free of charge from the Apple or Play Store. Once a user has opened it up, the rules are all on the app to explain the different options to enjoy the game.

The app is designed to be interactive with videos, facts and other information about the Rugby World Cup, and there are 15 different language settings.

Questions on the app include:

  • Who is the worst person to be sat next to at a rugby match?
  • What's your favourite song to sing at a match?
  • Does it matter who sponsors a rugby team?
  • Does the sin bin work?
  • Is cheating a tactic?
  • What do you make of praying before a match?

Speaking about this new resource, Steve Jones, Chaplaincy Support Director for Welsh Sport said: "I am passionate about my rugby and particularly love the Table Talk for Rugby app! I'm excited to see people creating space to talk about rugby now one of the biggest sporting events in the UK this year is underway. It's great to see supporters enjoying the game which asks questions around the meaning of life as well as giving an opportunity for some great banter."
