It is 20 years since the first Fairtrade Fortnight was celebrated, and Fair Do's Siopa Teg in Cardiff has been involved in some way for the past 17 of them!

Fairtrade Fortnight this year gives an opportunity to share the stories of fairtrade producers around the world, to find out more about the individuals and groups that grow the tea, coffee, sugar, cocoa and so much more, that we all enjoy.

Fair trade makes a significant difference to the lives of farmers and artisans, giving a stable income, better working conditions, access to expertise.

This year as usual, Fair Do's Siopa Teg will be supporting dozens of schools in South Wales to run events, providing products to sell, educational resources, and running activities in its shop. It has produced an interactive online game suitable for juniors to adults, now on its website.

It will also encourage many churches and other community organisations to celebrate the positive good news surrounding fair trade.

Any groups in South Wales which would like to run a fair trade stall are invited to contact Fair Do's on 029 2022 2066 or info@fairdos.com for more information.

It is an exciting time for fair trade . Join in with something happening near you!
