The 35th Prayer for Revival event in Norwich saw a stick from Norwich Vineyard senior pastor Geoff Lawton bound to the current 24 sticks from other local churches as a sign of unity.

“What an amazing privilege to meet together as pastors and churches from across the city and the region to pray together in unity," said organiser Phil Thorne.

"In the May event we were privileged to have Norwich pastor Geoff Lawton add Norwich Vineyard's ’stick’ to be bound to the current 24 church sticks from the January meeting. It is a prophetic picture and statement of intent with sticks bound together and prayed over as in the Ezekiel 37 prophecy.

The intent is church leaders standing in agreement by:

  • Kingdom thinking and speaking
  • Choosing to honour one another
  • Speaking well of one another
  • Praying for each other

Further meetings and venues are as follows:

Stalham: Friday 6th June 7.30pm at Stalham Baptist Church, High Street, Stalham, NR12 9AZ.

Carleton Rode: Tuesday 10th June 7.30pm at Carleton Rode Baptist Church, Chapel Road, Carleton Rode.
Gt Yarmouth: contact the office.

Local believers are being encouraged to attend.

Phil Thorne, leader of City Church said, "We are so grateful for the communication and activity over recent decades in bringing us to where we are today. There is so much to be thankful for when we consider all the para-church work that has been initiated including the more recent nationally-acclaimed Foodbank that has brought together Christians from many denominations serving together. We are appreciative of Transforming Norwich, Unite, Network Norwich and Celebrate Norwich and the efforts of pastors and leaders to keep lines of communication open and work together where we can.”

Prayer for Revival ‘sits’ under Transforming Norwich and Unite and remains fully committed to those endeavours.
