Writer and Director of the Passion of Christ James Burke-Dunsmore will once again take on the lead role as Jesus. Alongside a local volunteer amateur cast, he will guide the audience on an unforgettable journey of the days leading up to Jesus’ arrest, death and resurrection.
James has portrayed Jesus Christ in more than 80 worldwide productions spanning 16 years. He has reached more than a quarter of a million people in towns and cities in the UK and abroad, and to millions on BBC television and radio.
He is also a trustee of The Passion Trust, the charity that supports and promotes performances of passion plays and biblical drama around the UK. His first performance in the Brighton Passion of Christ was in 2011.
