Actors from Crosby-based charity In Another Place took advantage of the recent snow to get in some authentic rehearsals for the Narnia Experience which is set to transform Liverpool’s St George's Hall from 11 – 23 February.

Mr Tumnus (Jack Winter) the White Witch (Bonnie Sinclair) and Mrs Beaver (Di Garden) tried out some method acting by braving the recent snowy weather in Crosby in preparation for the two-week production.

The Narnia Experience involves more than 500 volunteers of all ages from across the Merseyside area. Audience members will be led through Narnia – which includes a forest of 80 pine trees – by characters from the story, and get to meet Mr Tumnus, Mr and Mrs Beaver and the White Witch.

The event is put together by Christian Charity In Another Place, which uses the arts to share the Christian message and develop community partnerships. Their 2011 Narnia production attracted 17,000 visitors and the 2013 production sees even more volunteers and some exciting new changes.

Annie Spiers, Director of In Another Place said: "Some of the changes to the set are spectacular and we are sure the production will delight first time visitors and returning ones. It is real thrill to put on the Narnia Experience again in St Georges Hall. With 500 volunteers and a huge organisational challenge this may be the last time we manage to do so. I hope that many thousands of people will enjoy the excitement of walking through the wardrobe into the forest of Narnia and living the story.”

She added:  “To put an event on of this scale with volunteers from all backgrounds and abilities shows what can be achieved with a clear vision, good teamwork and faith in God to help us bring all the details together.”
