Weight reduction using biblical principles

A former missionary who has developed a non-diet weight regulation programme using biblical principles has also written a book to help people achieve and maintain a normal weight.

Sue Prosser (right), who used to be overweight herself, started the Fit For Life Forever programme to teach “awareness eating” which addresses the root causes of disordered eating, thus making permanent change possible from the inside out. Her book, How to Stop Dieting and Start Living, to be published by Kingsway in May, forms the basis of a 12-unit course which can be followed by individuals or church groups.

Back-up resources include a workbook, devotional guide, a Powerpoint slide pack for leaders and a seminar DVD. A number of pilot groups are already in existence and Sue’s vision is to see Fit For Life Forever being used, not only to help Christians address their own disordered eating but as an exciting new outreach tool.
