Noel Robinson is busy preparing for his annual worship event called The Renewal, which aims to prepare those involved in Christian music ministry for the spiritual revival he believes is bubbling in the UK.
The next Renewal event will take place from 25-28 January at the Dominion Centre in Wood Green, north London. Special guests include Grammy award winning artist Israel Houghton, Worship Central's Tim Hughes and MOBO award winner Guvna B.
Noel was moved by the Prime Minister’s recent speech in Oxford where he stated Britain is a Christian country. He commented: “I don’t really follow politics but I sat up when I saw news stories about David Cameron's speech about the Christian faith.
"I believe his comments have served to reaffirm Britain’s Christian heritage, and encouraged the Church to continue being bold in fulfilling its mission to preach the gospel and carry out good works.
"My hope is that churches will work even more closely together so that we demonstrate the unity Jesus spoke about.”
The Renewal conference will kick off with a FREE youth event entitled Releasing a Sound of a Generation featuring Jake Isaac, Guvna B, Nikki Fletcher, Joseph Perry and Audacious.
It will be followed on January 26 with One City One Sound, a worship event featuring worship leaders from across the denominational and cultural spectrum. Ruach Ministries, Kensington Temple, Remenante (a group featuring artists from the UK’s Latin American churches), a worship group from St Mary’s, Bryston Square, London and Hammad Bailey from a Tamil speaking church. Bishop John Francis of Ruach Ministries will be the guest speaker.
On January 27-28 they’ll be daytime seminars covering songwriting, musicianship, sound engineering, praise dance, being a praise and worship leader, choir masterclass, prophetic art, and worship as a tool of intercession. Evening worship celebrations will also take place.
On Friday 27 January the celebrations will feature Israel Houghton, Tim Hughes, Mark Beswick, Elim Sound, and Sonny Badu. On Saturday 28, the evening worship session will feature Hillsong UK, Donna Akudo, Graham Kendrick, Lara Martin and Noel Robinson.
“I want those involved in Christian music ministry need to recognise the important role that they play in the church, and The Renewal will help them do so, as well as equip them to be part of the revival that will hit the UK.”
