Open Doors Right to Believe Campaign

Great escape and carols at the Trafford Centre

A Manchester church is hosting carol services with a difference this year – including escapology at the Trafford Centre.

Christian escapologist Steve Legg holds the world record for getting out of a straight jacket and will perform as part of Ivy Manchester's Carols at The Orient, Trafford Centre on Sunday 13 December.

More than 12,000 people are expected to participate with Ivy Manchester's very own choir and orchestra as they did last year.

The events also include a solo by 12-year-old Matthew Fitzgerald who thrilled the audience in the recent Didsbury's Got Talent competition, and a reading from GMP Chief Constable Peter Fahy.

The finale is inspired by the BBC's Hallelujah Chorus Campaign and will highlight Christian Aid's work to help those in poverty.

Pastor Debra Green from Ivy Manchester said: "People don't need to escape the crowds  – come and watch our great escape instead and sing one of the carols you love with us.”

The events take place at the Trafford Centre on 13 December at 1pm and 4pm. For further information contact Debra Green or visit www.ivymanchester.org
