Dorset churches launch new teaching and ministry event
Churches across south Dorset are working together to launch Connect, a local week of worship, teaching and ministry in July next year.
Around 30 churches of various denominations from Poole to Weymouth have already signed up to support the event.
Connect is being spearheaded retired Anglican clergyman, Rob Richards, whose background includes chairman of J John’s Philo Trust, associate vicar at St Andrew’s Chorleywood with Mark Stibbe and senior chaplain at Lee Abbey.
Connect will take place in several marquees at Holton Lee just north of Wareham from 14 to 18 July 2010.
The programme will include seminars, interest groups, a variety of activities, evening celebrations, and a weekend geared for all the family that aims to include camping, a youth and children’s programme.
