Football: Christian Rory Fallon hits winner as New Zealand qualify for World Cup

Plymouth Argyle striker Rory Fallon scored the only goal as New Zealand beat Bahrain 1-0 to qualify for the 2010 World Cup ...

The second leg play-off win, following a 0-0 draw in the first leg, saw the Kiwis through to their first World Cup Finals since 1982.

Fallon, who became a Christian in Tenerife in 2007, is a member of Mutley Baptist Church in Plymouth and involved with Faith and Football.

The 27-year-old has spoken openly about his Christian faith, including an in-depth interview with local paper the Plymouth Herald.
