Open Doors Right to Believe Campaign

Christian Skaters on a roll for 2010

Christian Skaters UK are planning their third Skate Ministry Conference for March 2010.

The weekend, from 26-28 March, is aimed at anyone involved in, wanting to get involved in, or just interested in finding out about skate ministry.

Director Phil Williams explains: "The conference would be a great place to get inspired and encouraged in embarking on a new project or mission.

"If you are part of a church that wants to reach the skate community in your local area then we can help you. We certainly don’t have all the answers, but with more than 50 years of combined skate and youth outreach experience, we can give you the advice and ideas to get started in meeting the needs of your local skate scene.

"Following Jesus’ example of identifying the needs of a community, and then setting out to serve that community by trying to meet those needs, we believe that doors will open to share His great message of hope and truth.

The conference will be held at the Factory Skate Park in Dundee.

Check out the website for more details on Christian Skaters UK, and to register your interest for the conference. If you have any questions at all about the Conference, please contact Tim Funnel.

2010 looks like being a really encouraging year for all involved in skate ministry and Christian Skaters would love to connect with you at the Conference, not just with established ministries but also individual skaters and BMXers who want to be supported and have a passion to reach their skating/BMX friends for Christ.

On a final note, with the amount of projects and considerable potential for Christian Skaters, the ministry is looking for somebody to take on the running of the day to day organisation on a part-time or full-time basis. If you have any thoughts on this or are at all interested please contact Phil Williams.
