During a phenomenal Olympic Games earlier this month, it was fantastic to see Christian athletes performing superbly, particularly the five we put the spotlight on our July/August edition of Inspire.
Sanya Richards-Ross (USA) took gold in the women's 400 metres and 4 x 400 metres relay – in the former beating Beijing Olympic champion Christine Ohuruogu (Team GB) into second place and a silver medal.
Richard Chambers (Team GB) was part of the Men's Lightweight Four that took silver in the rowing, while Will Claye (USA, pictured right by Graham Morrey) took silver in the Triple Jump and a bronze behind Team GB's Greg Rutherford in the Long Jump.
Finally Kenyan distance runner Vivian Cheruiyot won silver in the Women's 5000 metres and bronze in the Women's 10,000 metres.
Our two Paralympians featured – Anna Sharkey (Team GB) in the Women's Goalball (her brother Michael is in the men's goalball team) and South Africa's Ernst van Dyk, who competes in the hand-cycling and wheelchair-racing – will be in action shortly.
What did you make of the Olympics? Did you get to some events or follow all the action on TV? Are you planning to get to any Paralympic events? How many other Christian athletes did you spot taking part? Let me know ...
UPDATE: here's a useful 'infographic' showing exactly where all the Paralympic events are taking place in London, plus notes on other event venues across the country ...
